Esteemed Forum,

I grew up on a farm in GA.  I've done an awful lot of reading on passive solar/off grid/natural construction, etc.

Does anyone have a current list or spreadsheet of GA counties that documents their willingness to approve alternative/natural building methods?  Or experience in their own county that might encourage/discourage new families interested in homesteading/natural building from relocating to your area?

Have any of you decided to build using any of these techniques?  

Do you have any lessons learned?  

Do you have any recommendations on which counties in the northern half of GA are most willing to approve alternative building options with the least amount of trouble?
