I laid down wood chips the first year and the butter cups really exploded, it wasn't deep enough Im sure. Now my garden is covered in cardboard and then straw. The butter cups have popped up in some places here and there and I just went along and pulled them up, I noticed that the stalks were so thin and weak I feel like after covering up those holes with more straw that they will not be a problem now.

This is my first post on permies ever so I'm not sure about  if I ask my question on a similar post or make a new one. But here goes, my neighbor had what they thought was a swarm. Long story short I went to get it and soon found out it was an established hive. I took the inner combs and placed them in the bottom bee box with no slides. I put the other outer combs in a tote. I put the bee box 6 miles away on my property and the tote of extra combs nearby for 48 hours. On top of the bee box is a shorter box full of slides. When it was about to rain I brought the tote of extra honey comb home. It had a bunch of honey in the bottom of it and many dead bees and even bees alive wiggling but stuck in the honey. I threw a towel over it. The next day I hear buzzing and lifted the towel to find about a hundred bees fly out.  So here is my question, I'm guessing they cleaned themselves off well enough to get out of the honey and fly again, will they find the hive?? Having never been in it in the new location?? Currently it's about 200 yards away from the hive. Thanks!
