I'm a member of the Mudgirls Natural Building Collective, based on the southwest coast of British Columbia. We build things with natural and salvaged materials. We are a non-hierarchical all-woman gang of builders that work as a crew and organize workshops that seek to empower others to embark on the building of their own humble, beautiful, durable earth-friendly shelters, and have as much fun as possible while doing it.

Oh wow! That's such an awesome review. Thanks Nicole! You are right about the how-to's - we went light on the how-tos' in favour of the experiential & organizing aspects of keeping a group healthy and fun and sustainable. We continue to be inspired by some really great how-to books out there, and forums like permies.com where people can share their successes and challenges directly, so we thought we'd share what we think we have to offer that's kind of unique about us & the way we do things. That said, as you pointed out, there's a handy dandy tips section.
Quick n dirty, you might say, heh heh. Mud puns!! We just can't get enough.
