Hello everyone!
I'm looking to find other Permies in Central Scotland for a bit of knowledge sharing, mutual extra pairs of hands and plant swaps.
I'm working slowly on converting a neglected giant lawn of a garden (500 sqm) into productive space and hopefully get a food forest going. Lots of the information available online is usually US based and a little tricky to convert to the unpredictable Scottish climate and trying to stick to a principle of using native or locally raised plants. I do enjoy learning by experimentation, but it would be very nice to learn from others and perhaps avoid wasting time and energy on plantings unlikely to work out.
Anyone not in Central Scotland is welcome to pitch in any experience of planting under fully mature Linden trees. I'll be negotiating around 3 of them as my canopy at first.
