Roberto , I'm in Calgary Alberta
Thanks for the edit, I didn't know they broke off if not pollinated. I have shaken them and used q-tips and later a small paint brush , that maybe why a few are growing. I'm going back out with my paintbrush.

I'm running out of growing season, probably snowing in 2 months , but at least I use any green ones for salsa .
Thanks for the info.
I have several heritage varieties of tomatoes growing here in Calgary Alberta , and in a green house that  I usually keep the ends open on.

I transplanted them at 6 -8 inches tall ,and now they climbed 4 feet or so , and have had yellow flowers for over a month now , but very few tomatoes.

I just was inspecting the dying flowers , and the stem is breaking off about a half inch up from the flowers.

There seems to be a small bump at the point where the break later occurs, it acts like a knee, and bends downward and all on it's own breaks off.

I experimented with some that were ready to break, and the stem has a whitish color inside it ,which appears to be very much alive .

I have Black Krim, Chocolate strpe and Navajo purple , the Black krim is affected the least but still doing the same thing , just on less tomatos.

There is no sign of bugs knawing away , just a clean break like cut with a knife.

We have a hot summer this year and I used quite a bit of water in the green house , also in there my beets are growing like crazy ,and my green onions too, Even my cucumbers are doing well, just the tomatoes are a problem. .
Any help will be appreciated , we will be getting snow here in 2 months or less.
Neal
Yesterday I noticed 2 tomatoes forming on one of my Black Krim plants , maybe the result of my pollinating them with Q-tips.
The majority of my plants are Chocolate Stripe and are my favorite , I have Navajo purple ,and silver fir also ..
Thanks for the advise .
I'm in Calgary , and have a green house 10 X 20 feet , I open the ends during most days , and even have a house fan to keep air blowing gently through it .
My problem is 2 years ago I had loads of tomatoes , last year I left it to nature , and this spring planted the same varieties of heritage tomatoes as before ( when I got the bumper crop).
now 45 days after getting the first yellow flower I have yet to see a tomato forming . I tried pollinating with a q-tip. and as mentioned even put a fan in the one end as I did 2 years ago.

The soil is rich in compost and the plants are 4 feet tall in some cases .
Everything is the same this year as my other year , except I have planted a lot of beets along the edge of the greenhouse , with the tomatoes more to the center.
Is it possible beets even pollination?
It sounds ridiculous , but nothing else is different .

Thanks ,Neal

Thanks to everyone who answered , I'm going to check for beetles etc, then just let a spear grow to take in nutrients for next year.
Not getting along with my mother in law ,I decided to build a retreat on my acerage , I have an old self contained camper , with shower ,stove ,toilet ,hot water ,and fridge, and furnace too .
I built this cabin from logs and am installing all the luxuries from my old camper , which is then going to the dump . I'm surrounded by trees, and my garden is just 50 feet away .
Being in Canada , I may not reside the whole winter in it ,but I don't see any real reason I couldn't . I often go skiing and snowshoeing in -23 weather ,and I'm moving my furnace from the camper into my cabin too.
I laid a waterproof tarp on the roof logs and as I dug a bigger garden I put the sod ontop of the roof , the tarp insures it's rain proof . I grew radishes on the roof last year ,put now just let nature take it's coarse .
Being a senior ,I find this like a second childhood  adventure .

Part of the problem in the house was my inlaw didn't approve of my building a motorcycle in my downstairs retreat .

My friend has beautiful poppies that stay in bloom for quite some time .( she says they are poppies) ,so I got some Bread Seed poppy seeds and they have just began blooming , oh, so beautiful.
The trouble is the flower falls apart in 3 days ,and just a bulb of some sort it left . It is green and I don't find it attractive , will it flower again? or is this it for my beautiful poppy flowers
