Thank you.

We are talking about a two-storey building of 1300 sqft. The foundations are made of natural stones. Walls are supposed to be one foot in width.
I need to build 3 feet retaining wall.
The soil mentioned could not be rolled up to 3mm but it has little clay it seems. I have made some test blocks with 10% portland cement. As of the third day the blocks look pretty good. I am planning to test for compressive strength after seven days. My question is, the compressive strength, water absorption, and erosion test are satisfactory, can I go on using the soil?

I just want to make sure that I am not committing any mistake

PS: The wall height proposed is 10 feet. It is most likely to have RCC roof  and we have a dry climate except two months of monsoon

Thanks

Hello,

I have a sandy soil (80% Grave and Sand) with gravels less than 4mm, with very low clay (I understand from tests).
Can a good rammed earth wall constructed with cement? I have difficulties in importing soil with more clay to mix with?

Thanks
