Hi guys/girls

I wonder if I can get some advice as I lost the last couple of citrus trees I planted.

I've just purchased a lemon and a mandarin tree. The last couple I planted in lost and my neighbour said it was probably because I planted them level with the ground and we are in a wetland area he said citrus trees need to be raised which makes sense. Anyway I've now made a couple of raised beds for these trees and filled them with homemade green manure compost. I've also got some mycorrhizal fungi that someone recommended adding to the planting hole.

I have some pine needles iso it worth adding some to the compost?

Any info is much appreciated as I don't want to keep loosing trees

Hi guys/girls

I've recently bought a chipper /shredder as I want to make my own mulch.

I've been running green caña through it. As in picture it's like bamboo but not as strong,  it's chipping up great and is perfect texture. My question is can I use it as is or should I leave it in a pile to go a bit brown first?

Love the sound of what you do and what you are looking for!
We (family of 3,  daughter 14yrs) live in southern Catalunya. We only have a smallish plot 1250 square metres with a off grid cabin that we live in,  we are planning to turn the land into a food forest. Would you be interested in this area? There's a few British people living in the mountains around here with lots and lots of land and most don't even know what to do with all the land.
