Gee, I wish I would have seen this post from the beginning, I live in Puerto Rico on the east in the town of Fajardo. I have been to Utuado a few times. I love the beauty and also would love to go arrow head hunting  because Utuado was a Tainos  who lived in the area. The hard part is my wife who is afraid of roads with cliffs at one side and being winding. I only know one guy who I met online because he asked biblical questions on a FB group and I helped him. He probably knows a local  (I recommend because they know the tricks of the land, where to buy or borrow what you need, etc.)
Please reply if you have any questions.

I live within city limits, but I can survive on the many pots with plants growing all over my room including Oranges and avocado trees.  I do not have much room left for solar panels and I am a IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis).   I live in Puerto Rico and we get hurricanes often and when Maria came, the whole island was dark, and some places took over a year to get power. I depend on concentrators for Oxygen, air purifiers, nebulizer , etc. I saw an advertising of a Solar Innovation System for $39. I don't mind the price and I am a DIY person. My question is, does this really works or is it a scam.
Thank you all for your help.

I want to build a place on a piece of land I have here in Puerto Rico. I want it to be different from what is the norm here. My idea is to build it with hemp. I already know how to soften and pulling the outer fiber off the wood but my next step is to grind the wood to make the shiv if this is what is called. I thought of using a chipper shredder to do so but if there is a easier or cheaper way to do so, please help on it. Thank you and when I get the project going I will post pictures. Is my last house project ever because in January I will turn 75 years old, so I want it to be different and special

We are both from a part of Canada that has hot, muggy summer, without the nighttime relief, usually for a few weeks each year.

I wonder how much of your precipitation is in the form of dew? There are ways to capture that, if you have need of more precipitation than the sky provides.

I'm also looking for it land in the tropics, at altitude, but it must be in the Philippines, for family reasons.

Thanks Dale, for precipitation, the area it does rain at least 15 days a month.
Hello everyone. I live part time in Colombia, south america. My plans will be a full time person there and the main reason is because the weather is 75 F during the day and 50-55 at nights and this is the 12 months of the year.

I would like to know if anyone is doing any gardening of any kind so we can exchange ideas.

The area I am mostly visiting is the departamento Antioquia and the town would be Guatapé.
