We play board-games almost every evening. I think we have about 40 different ones at the moment, and we buy a new one every month to keep it interesting.
The biggest problem we have is that it's just me and my wife. And not all games play well with just 2.

Some of our favorite games:
-Tash Kalar (abstract game where you are a sorcerer who has to try to summon creatures)
-Fungi (card game about gathering and cooking mushrooms)
-Dungeon Petz (keep, raise and sell monsters)
-Rivals for Catan (2-player variant of Settlers of Catan)
-Through the Ages (develop a society from the old to the modern times, long game!!!)
-Evolution: Climate (adapt species to survive the changing climates)
-A Feast for Odin (worker placement game with tetris integrated)
-Cottage Garden (a bit like playing tetris)
-Caverna: the Cave Farmers (the newer, and in our opinion better, version of agricola, where you play dwarfs who need to farm and mine)

I've had about 60 huskies for dog sledding. Most of them Alaskans, but about 10 Siberians also.
All can be trained to ignore small livestock when you are also around, but there aren't many that can resist the temptation to chase or kill them when you go inside and leave them together, unsupervised, for more the a couple of minutes.
So I agree with what others have said above. To be safe, try to keep your livestock fenced in. And make the fence high enough. Husky's kan easily jump 6 feet. Better save then sorry.
