My husband and I will be moving out of the big city (70,000+) in the next year. I grew up on a farm, he did not. Our adult son will be moving with us, he has followed permies for a long time, and actually shared this site with me, as well as a lot of other gardening info. We did start a small garden this summer, and we dug some more property up for next summer. I purchased some black bags and planted tomatoes and they were awesome, it may have something to do with the leaf compost we got from the city.?
My family had a huge garden (Food Forest) on our farm, it served us well!! So I do have some experience, but there is SO much to learn. Also, my son has mentioned Food Forest several times, and that is what he wants to do, so we are going all in, as soon as we find a place UP North, WI!! I am looking forward to reading your book as well.
