yes that is the exact paper i saw. notice those are mature plants though, and this is just a seedling.

i suppose that's possible, I think it may be a stress reaction however. I tried to attach a picture of a sprout with the issue. I read only one scientific article about raddishes turning blue from h2o2 because of oxidation. these were adult raddishes in the paper and it was a japanese team of researchers. I couldn't find their contact info.

i'm trying to search the internet to find something about what I observed. I am growing microgreens. This round is raddish (organic source seed)

I soaked the seeds with a little h2o2 and water as i always do. once they sprouted I prepared the 10x20 tray with 50/50 soil/mulch as normal. I thought I could get a cleaner harvest using a paper towel on top of the growing medium so I experimented with half the tray covered in paper towel. then I put all the germinated seeds on tray, just right on top. once they germinated and showed the little yellow cotelydons I put them under a grow light. the grow light is a chinese LED panel 12x12 that says "full spectrum" but it is a bunch of purple and blue LEDs. The total light is sort of 'white ish' if you will. anyway, they've been under the light about 12h/12h. I noticed today something super weird. some of the sprouts on the paper towel side don't have roots engaged to the towel, and those roots are turning color! what is going on? I can't figure it out. first I thought it is photosynthesis, but I looked closer at the root and the color is a blue-green, almost grey.any ideas or sources would be awesome thanks.
