I live in Henrico County, just east of Richmond VA. When I moved into the area I contacted the zoning folks to see if I could build a strawbale house and was told that you cant build strawbale in this area because of the humidity. That told me more about the zoning folks than it did about strawbale houses. I have looked online for local natural builders (strawbale, cob, rammed earth) and found nothing. I have no building skills but have thought about partnering with a local contractor to start a rammed earth company. Not sure that I have the gumption for that. So I live in my awesome natural house in my dreams, fed by youtube videos on same.
