I noticed in a recent Kickstarter post that "Red Cabin is the only rental with good internet". Just wondering can you give an idea of how good/bad the wifi is in the love shack and if there is some public space in another building - maybe a study or library or such - as an alternative for a few hours or so in the afternoon/evening. Or maybe I guess outside I could improvise a standing desk... And just checking, would the red cabin happen to be available on my chosen June 30-July 6 dates for the extra coin?
And would you happen to know how good reception for Verizon is at base camp (love shack or in general) - I could use my mobile hot-spot as another option if reception is OK.
I sent the amount for 6 nights starting June 30 I am hoping that I could get a tour if possible on that day since it seems that's the only day between the PDC and ATC where someone might be available? Even a half tour would help.
I think what would work best for me is to rent the Love Shack for a week and be a half-day boot camp participant - is that possible? I just don't know if I would burn out doing 8+ hours every day (I guess depending on nature of the work).
There is some flexibility in my timing so it seems maybe it is better to come as a newbie after the PDC is over. Now I am thinking starting from July 2 to July 9 (7 nights) so could you check if Love Shack is free on those days? Alternatively, I would probably be good with camping a few of the days.
Lastly I wanted to confirm - should I use sepper at richsoil.com on paypal to send the fees? After your next reply I should be ready to send money for reservation.
Just checking in if it looks like the SEPP program might be back by late June... Or maybe I have a better chance at a bootcamp spot maybe? Looking forward to the kickstarter book and candy!
Thanks Paul for the quick reply - I'll check back monthly or so to see if you can start doing SEPP again - I still have 3 months before I'm there so hoping you start it up by then. If not, I'll keep an eye on the bootcamp forum to see if you have a spot open for a 1-week stint.
I've been reading/watching about your setup there and it sounds like a great experience to get hands on in permaculture. Especially interested in the gardening/horticulture aspects but also natural building. I (and my partner) will be out there near Missoula in late June (for a wedding) and am very interested in doing a week there - a few days of SEPP and if possible some more days of bootcamp (if not full) or gapper. So I was wondering if either the Love Shack (first choice) or Red Cabin is available on June 23 - 25 (or possibly until 30th)? Then after my partner leaves - depending on your availability I would like to do a few days of bootcamp (if a slot is open) or be a Gapper and work as much as possible like a bootcamper. From my understanding, once I pay a SEPP package then that also covers the Gapper/bootcamp fee if I wish to continue into one of those programs. And could you confirm the prices are still same as in this post ($135/3 nights +$15 additional for Love Shack and $180/3 nights and $30 additional for Red Cabin)?
