Awesome thread Dale. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your adventures (and eagerly waiting for the update). I had to giggle at your experiences in Kenya, seeing as I am from Kenya. Philippines looks beautiful, I have never been there but I sure would like to add it my list of places to see. The pictures you posted are stunning. I am not sure where you were in Kenya but there are equally beautiful places in Kenya which are much safer. Even though I live in the UK I am planning to start my own permaculture homestead in Mambrui which is just 20 minutes from Malindi. The area has a wild coast, beautiful dunes and though half the village is inhabited by Italians (they discovered it long before other Europeans and there are plenty of resorts) , you can still find land that has stunning views of the ocean and dunes away from the resorts. Maybe you should consider Kenya again, I could sure use a go getter like you as I am the opposite. I tend to dream of what I want and where I want but find a million excuses not to do it!
