This is actually her third litter, which is why it is so odd. The last two times she didn't nest until the day before she was ready to give birth. I guess this is why I'm so worried
My doe is starting to try to prepare her nest two weeks early. I always make sure my rabbits have fresh hay and she's trying to use it to start her nest. She's not due until the 17th of June. Should I be worried?
I moved the doe and her babies and sprayed the hutch with bug spray, I waited about a week before placing them back in. Now that the babies are older, they don't need the nesting box. Thank y'all for your help.
Does anyone know if full bred Dutch rabbits can have blue eyes? I want to buy from a breeder but some of the rabbits have blue eyes or mixed instead of the normal brown. I just want to make sure so I can breed and show if I buy any of them.
They are pretty big and have a wooden frame, I could move them but it would be a little difficult. I agree, the ants seem to like the spring, but I'm just thankful it wasn't fire ants, we have a ton of those in my area.
Unfortunately now that it is spring, ants decided to take over my doe's and babies nesting box. Will the mother still accept the box even though I have cleaned it? Also, what is the best way to keep ants away?
