I'm just starting an earthen house project in the Fraser Valley and have similar questions about cob vs strawbale vs clay/straw vs hempcrete (etc.)
I'm wondering what you finally settled on for your construction method. I'm drawn to straw bale but several people have cautioned about its use in the Pacific Northwest.
Any second thoughts? Any recommendations?
