We are part of Hearthstone Village (www.hearthstonevillage.ca). 42 acres of rainforest, ponds, creeks, & river in coastal BC, Canada. About 10 minute walk to a beautiful ocean beach. Looking to grow our membership.

Also looking for folks interested in doing work trade & learning about natural building. We will be building another hyperadobe (pumice/clay/sand) home this summer. Looking for 2 week commitments (minimum); 5/6 hours per day & 5 days/week. Food & lodging (camping) provided. Welcome to bring your own camper/etc. Lunch will be cooked; dinner might be (if we can find a cook), otherwise shared prep/clean-up.

Curious about the mortar mixer...

We are building hyperadobe with a pumice/clay/sand fill. We did a smaller house last summer (still finishing up the interior) - 600 sq.ft. We're doing another one starting in a couple months (similar footprint, but 2 stories).

We used a cement mixer for the last one. Considering a mortar mixer. Any sense of how it would work with pumice?
