Hi Sandy, I will be moving to my lot in the eastern AZ desert off the 191 between I40 and St Johns next year.
Collecting heirloom seeds to grow out there.
All I have seen out there are cows, coyotes, pack rats, mice and jackrabbits.
The cows have seriously overgrazed what little grass is there.
Just have to fence in the lot to keep the local locusts (range cows) off the place.
I am at 5800 ft altitude on a south facing slope with most of the lot on the flood plain.
Vegetation is Juniper, sage and other brush, with grease wood on the floodplain
