Hi all new here, my wife and I are getting ready to start building our earthbag home, and I know the roof is still way off but trying to get ahead before we start. I think we're going to reinforce our walls with rebar ( thinking every 5ft of wall length, and every 3 foot in height, driving a 5 ft chunk of rebar through from the foundation to the last run.)
Wanting to know peoples thoughts, or if they've had experience doing this, their input. Considering building the bottoms of my trusses into the wall, so they're trapped is how I'll put it, and fastened to the header board on the top. We are in west texas, and our soul I think will be very good for earthbag, you really cant dig in it during the dry season without soaking it first, so I believe it will pack very well and the bags will be more than sturdy enough but looking for advice or wisdom.
