Well I am originally from California but I currently live in Chattanooga, so not too far away! At my current house I've been mostly letting things go and observing what the pollinators like. I planted some daikon radishes this spring in spots to help break up the red clay a bit, and I seeded some more clover. Succeeded with a few propagation attempts (elderberry), failed with some others (killed multiple blackberry cuttings). I'm also in the research phase for native plants and different potential guilds. Generally, I struggle to visualize design elements and imagine proper placement of features, so the concepts of permaculture are pretty difficult for me to wrap my brain around... which is a bummer because I find it so neat and just want to get involved!
