This is a request for information or opinions about applying Hugulkulture to my fire protection/forest thinning project?
I’m downing large trees, and I think I wanna bury them under a bunch of free soil instead of leaving them uncovered to become on ground fuel. I’m in the wildfire zone in California. Steep property.
Planning to open space for redwood forest to regrow. Also fire safe setbacks to my home.
Right now I’m overwhelmed with Doug fir. So that is my project. After down the big firs will be covered with soil then natural organic matter will return forest plants, redwood, tan oak, huckleberry.
Bay trees are being prescribed burnt at high temperatures.
