This is great! Thank you for making the process so clear and easy to understand.
And most of all, I can't believe my luck that you picked my home town and did all the work for me!
I've been researching Brisbane's climate analogue for awhile, and the place that seems to come up a lot is Brazil (esp Southern Brazil). Once I began researching the fruits growing in Brazil, everything started to sound familiar (the fruit trees generally recommended for Southeast Queensland), so I think we are on the right track. I found a lot of other fruit as well that is not generally mentioned which I can consider (though many of these are rare and probably unobtainable in AU).
One of the interesting observations about this place is that guavas are a declared weed. They grow wild and I have one on my property (I just have to beat the cockatoos to the fruit and a delicious drink is just a 5 minute walk away).
Now to find the fruit of East Texas....
Thanks again.
