Thanks for the replies guys. I'll play with the material for something other than straw clay walls. Ellendra Nauriel I found it locally on the craigslist in colorado (near fort morgan).

I can locally get 5 yards a day of free straw fines and was wondering if this material would work in straw light clay construction.

I have attached two pictures of what the material looks like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
