I’ve two acres in Southern IL (zone 6)where I’d like to plant some nut trees. I’d like the start them from seed in containers for the first 1-3 years while I prepare and study the location. I want to grow a large variety although Pistachios are my favorite if there are any trees hardy enough to survive the winters here which get more mild by the year.
Anyone have or can suggest where to buy reasonably priced seeds or saplings? Any suggested best references or guides for me to read and study on how to grow nut trees from seed? Other suggestions? Eager to start this journey. Thank you!
