Thanks for the reply.
So I pulled it right out.
Sent it down to the 15’ mark and started pumping black water. I’m in the process of fixing my post pounder so I can’t get deeper. But I’m gonna try and send it down a foot at a time, then check.(1- the standing water in the pipe. And 2- the amount and colour the water is.)
As I mentioned before I had water about 1-1.5 gals but driving it deeper didn’t seem to work any better.if not worse.
I guess a like taking the hard route! But just can’t seem to find the vein.

I live in Manitoba Canada, and am having issues with my sand point. Here is the story.
Bought house 10 years ago with Sandpoint well, never could get it to pump.
6 years ago I bought new 30” sand point for sand.slotted screen.
Couldn’t get it going.
This bring me to last week.
I tried a new pump couldn’t get it to suck.
So I pulled the point and gave it a acid bath, not that it was needed, it was clean but to be sure I wanted it clean.
I dropped it down the casing( which is 10’ down.)
I drove it 2’ more tightening every 10 pounds.( with homemade 80lbs post driver.)
Went down smooth. And felt like sandy soil. So I connected my pitcher pump and got about 15 gal of blackish water. So I drove it down another foot. And pumped more water, it seemed somewhat clear, so I connected my check valve and pump. Primed the pump with my hand pump. And pumped water for 5-6 hours at about 1-1.5 gals per minute. I left for the evening and about an hour later it sucked air and wife shut pump down.
Now I should add there are plenty of Sandpoint in the neighborhood around 15-20’ depth.
This morning I dropped a weighted string down my 1 1/4” galv pipe and hit water with 4’ of standing water 9’ down from the surface. So I was under the impression I should have 5’ so I tried driving it down again. I got about a foot. Tried hand pump again. Nothing.
My questions are these
1- am I too low. Maybe it’s to dry to get 5’ standing water.
2- drive that sob further?

Any help would be great, I can also be reached by email.paulswiscoski11@hotmail.com

I must also add, I am a certified plumber, and none of the Sandpoint system was covered in school. Anyone I talk to says it’s an old application, and you either know what your doing or not. I like to think I’m a smart guy, but I’m losing sleep. I want cheaper water than city water. Thanks for the help gents! I have also added a picture of my setup. simple setup picture.
