I am in north Texas clay ... it works just fine.

@Stiller Yes, it is durable
@Andeerson Just stick it in carefully around main stalk, then put foot on pedal and pull back handle.
@Honzay If I was going to sell a product it would be this one. It really is a game changer.
@Stiller I have never seen any other tools for this. I used to use hand shovel/spade.

I can pull a hundred weeds in minutes with Fiskars Weeder.
