Hello there! We are a family of 6 in Central Ohio with 12 acres and horses. We have a small creek that divides our property where we are in early stages of hay production. We also have a handful of chestnut trees that I haven't identified yet. In any case, our four children are all 9 and under and we have discovered that homesteading can be a struggle even with two adults and helping kiddos. I work a 9-5 outside the home as a case manager and my husband is self employed as a farrier. We've only be at this property for a little over a year and have just let it go wild as we learn more about the lay of the land. We are currently working on putting our hay up by hand (scythe) and erecting a barn with a base of shipping containers.
