Rock Mister wrote:Hi there Bernard and Cecile! I bought your book and it's wonderful! Human Permaculture is indeed very needed especially these days.
I have a question about the "niche" concept which I find very interesting.. Where does this concept of ecological niche come from? I'm curious to hear more about it if you have time.
Thank you and good luck with your new book!

Rock

Hi Mister Rock, the notion of "niche" was defined by the Anglo-American zoologist G.E. Hutchison in 1957. It refers both to the habitat of a living organism, its role and the conditions necessary for its existence. Each living species has a specific role to play in the Earth's great ecosystem. Including humans! But collectively, humans are the only ones trying to escape our natural "niche". And we are the only species that must identify its individual "niche"... This is one of the great challenges of human permaculture. You will find in our book how to discover your own "niche". It's exciting, full of surprises, and it can lead to a new stage in your life!

If I win a free book PLEASE PASS IT FORWARD!!!
Thanks,

WONDERFUL Lisa to buy the book in its paper version from your library. Local shops provide a valuable basis for social ties. Internet is good, it goes fast, it goes far, but for human relations, we do better !

Hello Everybody, Yes indeed, the world situation - sanitary, economic, social - invites us to embark on the adventure of human permaculture. Let's go together!  You will find in our book all what is needed to change the world, especially in those troubled time we face... How can we change the outside world without first (or at the same time) transforming our inner landscape? There’s more to the human factor than just “other people”; it includes ourselves. To change oneself — what an adventure! Usually change is something imposed on us by the events of our lives. But making the decision to change oneself is an act of courage. It is a case of mobilizing both hemispheres of your brain to guide you to the right a attitude — a more personal one. Now is the right time ! Cécile Guiochon
