I pick them up w leather gloves & put in buckets for winter, then toss em in with kindling for my wood stove. I burn mostly oak & put them put the ashes & charcoal in my compost. I like the garden edge idea but I know weeds will evolve & I’ll get owwwies.
The Cherokee make awesome chestnut bread.
