Great reminder about  herxing. I watched a medical medium podcast and he said a lot of people stop their health improving regimens if they feel worse, but it's just your body herxing, and to keep going.

If you do start to feel worse you can drink detox tea, or take activated charcoal (but never within 4 hours of anything else even food,) and there are other things you can do to improve your body's reaction to die off. You'll have to Google them though because I don't remember them off the top of my head. :D
I have other stuff going on besides Lyme and sometimes my memory is super shot.
and I also find vitamin c helps a lot.

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease a year ago this past August, and in September had a spinal tap done and discovered it was disseminated line. Because you have rashes all over your body, you may want to talk with a physician and just find out if you also have disseminated Lyme. that means it has crossed the blood brain barrier, and happens with multiple rashes like I (and you) had
the protocol for that is slightly different.
This past August I was on IV antibiotics for 28 days. I do feel better because of it, and I also gave up processed foods and sugar, which I'm sure also helped. I had no exhaustion, no stomach upset, and no adverse reactions to iv antibiotic.
During a year between my diagnosis and the IV antibiotics I was on the buher protocol, which I administered myself. A local Herb Farm makes the mix, and I would just add it to water twice a day. I noticed a definite difference the days where I forgot to take that. So herbs really do help, and that's where I would start because you can do that immediately on your own.
I would avoid the cranberry Wellness Center, simply because they probably administer the buhnner protocol and it's more economical for you to find a place where you can either buy the herbs in capsule form or the tincture themselves. Spend your money on medicine, not on people telling you what to take. (us their website sucks) you may also want to look for a licensed Lyme MD (llmd) if you have insurance.
I ordered buhners Lyme protocol capsules from green dragon botanicals when the herb farm didnt have the mix i wanted. i use tweefontein herb farm, you can find them online.
If money is No Object, there's a local doctor in my area who is supposedly the best in the US, Dr Bock. But it cost tens of thousands, if not more to heal with him.
Good luck. You can heal from Lyme, but it takes a little bit of work. I live in the Hudson Valley which is the Lyme capital of the country apparently. And there are plenty of people walking around here that had Lyme and and managed to heal from it. ther can be lasting effects though, so start on those herbs asap.

i am so thrilled the universe led me to this blog and this spot. it is my dream to homestead, but with multiple chronic illnesses it feels like a distant dream sometimes. i wonder how i could do it by myself, with fibromyalgia and me/cfs. and of course the reality is that i don't want to do it by myself, i'd love to have a partner in crime (not really), someone who shares the same dream and goals we can work towards together. i cannot wait to read all the posts here, and see what gems of wisdom await me. right now, it is so good to know that i am not alone in my dreams not exactly lining up with my body.
