We are also busy with building a natural swim pond.
We have been asking around for infos and concrete is not a good option this is why; over time it will break. The ground lives so the concrete will break. ( it was someone that has expertise with this because he has done it himself and his job are groundworks.) So one advised to use clay or to work with more layers. We will be using our clay ground to form the shape of the pond than we are going to lay a layer of géotextile than a pond liner and than an EPDM for ponds ans than another pond liner thé same as before.  (I don't know if you guys have it over there (epdm?) ) We use that much layers because we are going to finish it with stones from the region and we wouldnt like it is damaged before we take a swim   ( we are living in France midi-pyrenees).
We are going to filter it with plants and also a special filter for the alges (my husband does not like the green stuff, haha)

The sol you have in your hands might ne very clay like,already did a jar test?

Hopefully this lives you an idea?

So I did as Paul said and my signature is, I think a link to a product of him. So now it is beneficial for Paul but I don't get anything through the link right? Unless someone buys e link in my signature? Or it has to be an affiliate program/link?
I don't have much knowledge about those things.

1. I am afraid I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean that some plants don't have pictures? If yes, then this is something we need to work on. I am adding pictures as soon as I have one, but feel free to add your pictures too! Or your friends pictures or their friends pictures :)
2. This is a great point. I think you are right and I want it to be easy for everyone to use the site. I will think about that and find a way do add info like that maybe in a knowledgebase or similar.

In the meantime, I suggest you sign up for the newsletter on the site, I will post more detailed updates there.

1. Yes there are much plants without pictures... but it is normal it is not that easy. I will see what I can do  I know the app Plantnet... they have much maybe ask them?
2. Maybe you can put the basic info like an intro by the subjects. And repeat that base + more info in the knowledgebase. Hope you understand that maybe better?

I am looking forward to use it! Although it is a bit more difficult for me because my mother tongue is  dutch and I live in France so I can cope in English but it is more work for me to translate everything... when you want to work more in other languages too, you know where to find me !
