HI my name is Cedric Long. I grew up in Wetumpka AL. and Lived in Montgomery AL. It's zone 8 and I have had several neighbors that has natural pomegranate trees they did not plant themselves.
I do not know what varieties but have seen orange colored fruit and some red color fruit. I would look up cold hardy varieties as I have heard zone 8 is the lowest climate they do well in.
