Hey everyone! It's nice to meet you all. My name is Connor, and I'm looking for good opportunities in the PNW for hands-on permaculture and homesteading experience. Ideally I'd like to apprentice under a knowledgeable homesteader that can teach me the ins and outs of cultivating the temperate rainforest region, but I'm open to considering any suitable arrangements that may come my way!

If you're looking for someone to fill such a position, I'd love to hear from you! You can reach me by email at connorthomas@me.com , by text at 702-686-3836 , or on discord (username ronnoc95#6987)

Just a little bit about myself and my goals:

I'm absolutely dedicated to my eventual goal of having an off grid permaculture community in the Pacific Northwest, but right now I'm not well positioned to grow in that direction. I'm currently living in the suburbs of Las Vegas, Nevada, which is about as far away as you can get, environmentally. I considered getting into PEP, and I definitely want to take advantage of the online class aspects while I look for hands on opportunities, but there's not a lot I can practically do with my current living situation. So, I've decided to take the ultimate change in scenery and seek out a place where I can really get an experiential idea of what it's like.

I was involved with the boy scouts as a kid (and attained the rank of eagle scout, in fact) so I'm no stranger to work and play in the great outdoors. You don't have to worry about me being some city boy that doesn't know what he's getting himself into (though I'm prepared for it to be rougher and tougher even than I expect as well).

I'm also very interested in spirituality, particularly where it intersects with nature. My interests lie mainly in Shamanism, Kashmir Shaivism, Taoism, and other things in that vein. I love exploring and learning more about these sorts of things, so I welcome anyone that would like to reach out and discuss that too!

I'm excited to see what kinds of people I can meet, both here on Permies, and out there in Cascadia. Don't be a stranger!
