Autumn ONLINE PDC with Kym Chi and special guest Mark Lakeman!

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT + OTHER PERKS!

“Sitting at our back doorsteps, all we need to live a good life lies about us. Sun, wind, people, buildings, stones, sea, birds and plants surround us. Cooperation with all these things brings harmony, opposition to them brings disaster and chaos.” - Bill Mollison

Gather together with like minded people online to learn about how nature designs itself and how we can become conscious designers ourselves. We will learn how to map and design our land and our lives, plan for emergencies, grow organic food in all four seasons, build community and work to build a more regenerative future.

This flexible and comprehensive online course has 20 live classes with over 60 hours of content that includes dynamic discussions, break out groups, demonstrations and integrative activities.  In addition, I am happy to announce that Mark Lakeman will be joining us as a guest teacher with 3 live appearances plus multiple pre-recorded lessons including sessions on Design and Media, Water, Energy, Village Design and Legal & prelegal approaches.

On the course platform, the program is broken down into over 145 lessons and includes additional videos, applied homework, course projects and other resources that makes the course well over 72 hours. There are also information sheets that will be released with each class and when put together will create a 200+ pg digital course book. There is space for interactive dialogue on the course platform.

To top it off, participants will receive bonus access to 2 speaker series that feature Permaculture Visionaries and Indigenous Voices that equates to an additional 20 plus hours of live online instruction and supplementary course materials.  In addition, you will also receive access to the Herbal Preparations and Plant Allies pre recorded program. This equates to 30 more hours of course material that you will have lifetime access to and can watch at your leisure. More information on these freebies can be found below.

All online classes will be recorded for participants to rewatch at their convenience.

Primarily taught by a dynamic facilitator, this class caters to anyone wanting to learn regenerative design in a creative way. It is a flexible course with an ideal evening and weekend class schedule for workers, entrepreneurs, students or those with dynamic routines, catering to the busyness of modern life.

The certification from The Permaculture Institute granted upon completion of the course will empower participants as permaculture designers, consultants and beginner teachers. Graduates will be able to use the word permaculture legally in their practice, business or project. This sustainability education eco-training certificate is a practical path for greening your life, resume and portfolio. There is no time limit to complete the certification.

Working toward certification is not a requirement. Students may attend the course without completing the material required to attain the certificates. It’s a fun way to journey with likeminded people with experiential education. There is no time limit to complete the certification.

Course Topics include design methods, pattern literacy, soils and composting, water, trees, animals, design for cool/tropical/arid climates, social permaculture, native food and medicine plants of the Coastal First Peoples and more.

Optional activities throughout the course include: design charettes, earthworks demonstration, integrative games, compost building, soil testing, water audit, medicine making and homesteading.

This is a unique course with an exciting teaching tool kit that transforms lectures into games and group discussions and focusses on multi dimensional learning. Apply your learnings to the focus project for the program which is to start a map and design for where you live or an area of your choice.

Successful completion of this course offers graduates their choice of legitimate and formal certificate through Permaculture Institute (www.permaculture.org).
