The brick shown on the pile that has holes in it would not be a good solid dense mass, but chunks of concrete would be? Am I understanding you correctly?
In watching the video on the pea gravel mass I learned that pea gravel alone did not work so I planned to use it to fill voids around the chunks of bricks and concrete. Maybe I should make a slurry of pea gravel & mortar and pack around the chunks of concrete as you suggested and forget the bricks.
I have a lot of concrete/brick chunks as in the past this area was a dump site for a local brick mason. The owner was filling in part of a ravine that runs through the property we now own.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I really appreciate it!

I have a large area of rubble, mostly bricks and concrete, on my property shown in the photo. Will these work like the large fieldstone to intersperse in the pea gravel to hold and release the heat in the mass?
My thought was to build the box with 2x4’s and line the inside with a mesh or sheet metal, and cover the outside with cement board. I would appreciate if anyone with experience with building a pea gravel mass could give me some guidance here. Thanks so much!

Thanks for your quick reply Paul, and I apologize for not getting a reply back as quickly!
I'm in error on receiving an email with the pebble rmh link. Rather, I received the full event email link clicked on it and saw the pebble featured on that page so I searched for pebble rocket mass heater and came to this page. I scrolled to the bottom, clicked on the instant video for $15 and the file it downloaded was the $8 cob video. I thoroughly appreciate the videos I have watched, so no harm in purchasing the cob instructions. I'm likely not going to install our Liberator in the cob fashion to start with as we have a nice amount of  small bricks and concrete chunks that could be recycled and that the pebbles would sift around easily. So being VERY new to this I'm planning to try the pebble approach.
How can I purchase the instant pebble version?
Thank you so much for your help!

Hmm, I followed the link from my permies email and selected the pebble style rocket mass heater HD instant view, but received the cob style instant view. Did I mix something up, or how did that happen?
There's a ravine filled with reject bricks, blocks and chunks of concrete on our property. I think utilizing that material along with the smaller pebbles would be a great way to build the mass for our Liberator RMH that we purchased!
Thanks in advance for any help on how I get access to the pebble style HD instant view.

For immediate relief put a dab or drop of water on the sting and shake some salt onto the water and rub it over the sting. You can also make a paste of salt and water and apply it.

There’s a lot of good suggestions here. I hope you are able to find a solution and you heal completely
