perhaps this might help: Michael Tellinger's book, "UBUNTU Contributionism".  you can find it on Amazon.
in it he describes a detailed, well-researched method of ALL OF US to live without money.  you can learn more at their website, onesmalltown . org.
it is called the "One Small Town" movement, and we all should support it (i do).
it is already underway, with participating towns in Israel, the UK, and soon the USA.

Dear permies folks,
i thought this was the appropriate place to post this.
there is a company in the USA that sells a similar tool: Holdredge Enterprises, LLC, West Burlington, NY.
they have a long-handled and a short-handled model, here's a pic.
they're guaranteed for life; i broke mine after some 15 years, and they replaced it FREE!
the blade is stainless steel, and basically self-sharpening.
it's touted as a garlic hoe, and works brilliantly for that, but is my go-to tool for weeding.

Mollison explains the picture on the front of the book.  the snake imagery is an Aboriginal people's symbol, but i'm not near my book now to get more details.  it's in there...

Dear Permies all,
i purchased Bill Mollison's Permaculture book in response to this ad, and was very appreciative of the giant discount!  This was many weeks ago, but not months.
My friend started having permaculture symptoms, so, i bought it for him, too.
However, it appears that it's a one-time deal, the coupon PERMIES2022, until July 31, 2022, because i couldn't use it today, July 17, 2022.  it said "coupon limit has been reached" no matter what i tried.
so, that's my $.02.

I'm very interested in the dual ickyGluten -vs- Gluten-free processing capability!!!  That is so cool.
