1. The most important part of the “The End of the World as We Know It” is “As We Know It” - meaning (for me) that it’s not the world ending, but the old and familiar ways that would disappear…

2. Trust is not about trusting that “everything will be ok at the end”, but trusting that “everything IS ok the way it is”

3. Most people when they consider the SHTF situation are stuck in one of the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance)… but we need to move to the sixth stage… Resilience.

4. The end of the world as we know it is an amazing opportunity to be forced by necessity to live the way we probably should have been living in the first place.

5. Collapse is the worst possible time to suffer a nervous breakdown, so it’s better to get ready ahead of time.

Extremely well said. That's good

Hey gang, I'm new but after seeing others do this I thought I'd give it a try. I don't just dream, I plan to sell my house and move as far away from the idiots as possible. I have had enough of working 7 days a week just to pay bills and live a life that others have decided is normal. I love nature and the outdoors. I guess I'll be okay alone if I absolutely have to but I'd much rather share life with a like minded female. Of course being off grid and isolated you would need to be free of smoking, drinking and drugs. Just simple life of love and be loved. Sounds so romantic but I know it will be a lot of work also. I currently live in West Texas but will not retire here. I'm in the research phase of where is the best place to live off grid. Thanks in advance for being kind to me LOL. I have been reading the forum for years but just now joined.
