Hello all,

I am hoping someone can give me some ideas of what to plant for fodder crops for chickens, ducks, and rabbits. I've been told tagaste will work well. I'm hoping I can plant a few fodder crops that will also cross as cover crops. My soil is sandy with clay.  I'm in Rockville Utah. I'm also hoping I can make my own rabbit pellets with the fodder for winter feeding.

Thank you!

Hello all, I'm beginning to put together a permaculture design at my property here in Southern Utah. Zone 8a with a bit of 7b.

I'm pretty new to this, and I'm trying to find out what plants are the best pollinators, pest repellants, pest attractors (to detract from a valuable crop), and nitrogen fixers in Southern Utah (Rockville).

I plan on having chickens and rabbits as well that will be allowed to rummage through the garden and guilds from time to time.

Can anyone make some recommendations for me or point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

Hello guys,

We have just moved to southern Utah from Louisiana and my wife and I are interested in starting a 1/4 acre, possibly a bit smaller, permaculture farm (vegetables, fruits, legumes, small livestock). We don't have experience with permaculture but are fascinated by it.

We have supplemental irrigation water, Virgin River frontage, and large Cottonwood trees on our site. Looks like we have clayey sand, and sandy soil types, in 2 different areas.

Can anyone here recommend a consultant to us for a site visit and master plan? My wife and I want to carry out implementation of the plan, slow but sure. I'm about halfway through Integrated Forest Gardening by Wayne Weiseman and love the idea of different plant/animal functions and guilds.

Can anyone help me out? My name is Zefferino and my email address is zeffvon@gmail.com.

Thanks!
