I'm a teacher in the dfw area and a single mom. I want my children to live and work the land and am looking to put $10k towards our own homestead. It's not much at this point in time, but my son is almost 18 and my daughter 13. He wants to do civil engineering and has been building on our third of an acre for the last couple of years. She is studying medicine. To live in a sustainable community would be a dream.
