I'm beginning work on a hugel but I'm concerned that it is too close to my house, which despite its concrete foundation has a wooden cellar door and other points of access. We live in OR. Does water play a part in our generally rainy lives?
Also on the property is my sister 's house, a large barn, and two lean-tos, one with stacked, old firewood.
