I inoculated oak tree logs close to last Thanksgiving (2021) with shiitake and lions mane mushroom spore.
My first effort.
Now it is 21July22 and several of my logs have lost large portions of their bark….they look grey/ashen.
I have Not been watering the logs, but they are all off the ground ( on pallet) and in a shaded area.
Are these logs recoverable or should I burn them ( boers/weevils possible?)?
