well here we are in western Texas. I'm 62 and a dentist , my husband is 60 and he's a physicist. We live a minimalist lifestyle where we live today. We do have air conditioning that we use during the +100 degree days but there is very little energy use here for us during the cool months of october through May. that being said we are both going to retire soon ( I am already retired) and we have no family to speak of. My last remaining family member is a sister, I have a neice and nephew from her and there are distant relatives we never hear from. when you get to your 60s there is a lot of water under the bridge and while I believe the majority of our life decisions have been the best decision we could make with the available information we are now seeing worrying signs that living on fossil fuels is over and it appears that genocide is coming for the Western United States. So very much to talk about but life is an adventure and we are in the last part of that adventure but a long way from believing it's over. I want to leave this world better than when I entered it and it looks as though this is not going to be the case.
