I spend at least most of the year in a climate with intense heat and high relative humidity. The timber resources don't look like the ones I typically see in timber framing movies or online discussions. I therefore wonder the following:
Is there a required minimum size for timbers that goes beyond what engineering would potentially determine?
How should durability problems caused by bio agent attacks be handled? Termites are a problem, and because of the environment, fungus is also widespread.
