I give my hens bokashi bran mixed with live yogurt. Started when one had severe sourcrop and it saved her life. Now its a daily treat along with a beaten egg and a little melted coconut oil.

Also amazing blog Darren Thanks for the link
Sheep fleece as a mulch is amazing stuff. Adds nitrogen and other nutrients as it breaks down, retains moisture and keeps the soil cool in summer Light coloured wool keeps.the soil cooler than dark. In a greenhouse or polytunnel it stays dry so deters slugs as they don't like crawling on it.  A handful in the bottom of a planting hole breaks down fairly fast to release nutrients to the roots. Also makes a good addition to the compost pile as a nitrogen source if you have alot of browns and not enough greens
Thanks all

Dear friends could you help with a question please. I intended to save seeds from my sweet peas I grow for the pollinators. I was waiting for the pods to dry out on the plants but they have frozen solid in a sudden cold snap when I was away. Will they still be viable if I bring them in and she'll them? Thank you  Suzy
