Can we please re-examine the solid pipe versus perforated pipe issue.
I’m considering installing earth tubes for a house in Greece. My plan was for 2 corrugated pipes 3in diameter snaking around the garden at about 6 feet depth. Each pipe about 200 feet long with a fan drawing in fresh air at one end and another fan at the other end blowing it into the house.
I planned to use a solid pipe primarily because during periods of heavy rainfall a perforated pipe would let in water which would presumably lower the temperature of the air in the pipe that was being heated by the ground. Maybe this is a wrong assumption??
Also, in summer with hot humid air entering the pipes, the condensation that forms within the pipe is water that is not entering the house causing mould.
So I’m really confused now, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
