I have 20 acres of which 5 acres (the pasture) is canary grass & am starting my mini farm of goats & mini cattle. I’m concerned about the canary grass & its nutrients or affect on ruminants. My husband thinks they’ll graze on it (his job) but I’m really worried about picking up the pieces (my job). I watched a video that intrigued me in more ways than one. Mud, parasites, hay storage, ground structure bolstering & replanting a better quality grass. Thinking it might be a solid solution to choking out the canary grass as I would think it would black out the canary grass like a carpet whilst seeding new grasses. Thoughts?
