Hi friends! We are selling our magical slice of heaven in Mexico. Bosque Shambala is a permaculture project with a lot of love poured into it over the years. Here is a brief story about the project and all it has to offer:
Welcome to Bosque Shambala, a 5 hectares (12.35 acre) piece of paradise nestled in the middle of Mexico’s Huasteca Potosina. Situated 30 minutes from the renowned Pueblo Magico, or “magic town”, of Xilitla, San Luis Potosi, Bosque Shambala is located in the valley of a gorgeous rainforest mountain range. Xilitla is well known for its majestic landscapes and unique tourist attractions, such as the Sir Edward James Surrealist Garden and Las Posas waterfalls.
This lot has rich, fertile soil and humid climates ideal for growing an abundance of crops. Already planted on the property are papaya, banana, coffee, mango, lychee, noni, jackfruit, avocado, limes, vanilla, turmeric, ginger, chote, and yuca. The property has a freshwater spring and direct access to a natural pool. There is a stream along the western perimeter of the property which feeds this natural pool. There is also an area designed for animals. The grass native to the area (Merker grass) is ideal for grazing animals.
Bosque is equipped with three cabins and ten beds between them. Two are made out of wood and one is made from adobe. The main area is centered around a concrete courtyard, which was once used for drying beans as part of a coffee plantation in the 1970s. The main house, made from adobe, is equipped with a patio and fireplace. There is also a kitchen made out of cement, complete with a wood-burning stove and lots of shelving for storage. The project comes with a solar water heater, shower, and compost toilet. There are also two solar panels included which require new batteries. Below the main area is a large gazebo that can be used for yoga retreats, gatherings, or ceremonies.
In order to arrive at Bosque Shambala, you must walk 2km through the jungle from the nearest road. With the right machinery, the road can be cleared enough to use for ATVs again. This is the perfect investment for anyone interested in a project set up for eco-tourism or a self-sufficient lifestyle.
If you or someone you know is interested, feel free to share and reach out to us via messenger.
We really hope this is passed on to the right hands of those who share similar values and intentions.
Much love xo
