Gaia Rising Farm on Guemes Island in Washington is looking for farm help in exchange for living space. I have a charming off grid small house that is almost ready to be moved in. The farm focus is on community food security. I have a small sheep flock and am developing a silva- pasture system with fruit and nut trees and other perennial crops. There is plenty of space for someone to also pursue their own interests. Must be hard working, flexible and easy to get along with. More information available upon request. My books say that weld gives a strong yellow. I chopped up 2 pounds of weld plants but one 4 oz. skein (alum mordant) is only giving a very pale color soaking overnight . Does it need heat? Anyone have experience here?
