Wow! Looks like your post has sparked a lot of interest. I was just thinking yesterday that I need to start a NE Arizona Permies sub-group so we can help each other. I'm in Navajo (officially Chambers, AZ) property connects to I-40 at exit 325. Gained stewardship of 120 acres forming a Regenerative ecovillage with the focus on helping travelers. Looking for that core group of people who are interested in zennergizing the vision! Utilizing the current infrastructure to convert to off-grid. Need lots of help, mostly networking with other communities in the area so we can help each other. "The Vision is community helping community always in all ways!"

Oh My GUSS! This is so over my head. After reading this thread, I have no idea even how to begin this process. Apache County AZ, 120 acres. Looking to have a variety of builds, various from tiny homes to RV spots with sheds ,gardens, berms, ponds, etc. Haven't even completed the Conditional Use Permit Application much less building permits and earthwork.
Thank you for the information though. Will gather some troops to help!

Last year I was gifted a trip to Auroville, India, Solitude Farm with Krishna McKenzie. Krishna introduced me to The One Straw Revolution, Masanobu Fukuoka.

I have full intention of visiting Missoula for at least a couple weeks this year. (can't make before May 10. hopefully June) But the ultimate joy would to have Paul or one of his crew come to Chambers and give me advice on how to make this endeavor abundant with the least resistance. (secret bucket list is to talk world domination with Paul and crew)

Hi Em! Would love to connect. Doing this alone is sooo challenging; am 100% disabled vet (a bit crazy, lol), single, 60+, no experience at all, never even wanted to own land. However, gained stewardship over 120 developed (roads, 6 septics, 5 electric poles, huge RV barn, couple of garages and mobile homes) acres 2 years ago in Chambers, Arizona. Doing my best to bring my vision to fruition. A regenerative eco-village, intentional community whose focus is helping travelers.

LunaGaia Nomadic Village, after the cleaning and preparing stage, is now in the building/planting stage and several people have shown interest in being permanent occupants. We have chicken coop with 6 hens, (lost 2 roosters and a hen), barn cats, a couple of raised beds last year, a new greenhouse. Half of the "natural Juniper" fence is in place to prepare for the larger food forest. Like you, so many projects and not much help or money.

I have yet to host Wwoofers, or workampers, but am listed with TheDyrt. Email lunagaiavillage@gmail.com. Less than a two hour drive for me so.. if you have a good time that I can come visit...

Thanks Janet Douglas aka Moonshot
Haven't been able to find the map of hosts... Any suggestions?

Great Question and like most others, I can spend a million in a heart beat!

Unlike others, I have no desire to put any of it in a bank of any form other than the "TimeBank" I am implementing and probably an easy $100,000 could go to website, background checks and salaried stewards of said bank!

So here is my current needs/expenditures for a regenerative ecovillage that helps travelers (nomads):

100,000     Payoff Mortgage of 120 acres in NE Arizona
150,000     Event Center made with natural materials (lower 40)
  100,000    Community Facility (upper 40)
150,000    Off-Grid Solar Systems with wind back up.
100,000     Water catchment, storage, filtration systems
70,000     Fence said 120 acres because Arizona is a free range state
    50,000     Remodel 3 mobile homes w/eco/sustainable improvements
    50,000     River Rock for roads
    30,000     Excavator  with attachments
    15,000     Skid Steer with attachments
    20,000     Property truck 1 ton 4WD
5,000     Utility Vehicle 4WD with trailer
90,000     Legal, Accounting, Permit fees, insurance, website, marketing, TimeBank
40,000     Food animals, corals and housing (including female Camel)
30,000     Misc. tools/equipment for brick making, organic gardening, etc.
1,000,000  All spent... can't take it with me... now to start earning... who wants to join?

Kinda went about this whole thing with property first... AND am helping others and doing this even though I do not have the million!
