This post is exactly what I have been looking for and how I ended up on this site... Sad to see this is two years old, but glad to see the conversation is still alive.
I have been looking into building a Mini-Stead (3 to 7 acre) near where I live in Southeastern Louisiana but realize I wont make it on my own and am looking for like-minded individuals in the Southeast wiling to at least start a conversation about pooling resources and/or information.
If anyone knows homesteaders in the Southeast looking for help, a body, or just someone to keep in touch with for information trading... Let me be your guy! (girl).
